چکیده
This paper aims to explore the spatiotemporal pattern of traffic accidents using five years data between 2015 and 2019 for Irbid Governorate, Jordan. The spatial traffic-accident hotspots their temporal evolution were identified along internal arterial roads network in study area autocorrelation (Global Moran I index) local hotspot analysis (Getis–Ord Gi*) techniques within GIS environment. showed a gradual increase reported approximately 38% at year level. severity level distinguished distribution locations. less severe (~95%) occurred on road Governorate’s towns where highest volume exist. Getis–Ord Gi* statistics with 99% significance clustering patterns segments. Between 2019, notable clusters was pronounced. results can be used guide managers decision makers take appropriate actions enhancing locations improving safety status.
